Old skylights let in too much heat in the summer and too much cold in the winter. A modern, energy efficient skylight will save you money and make you much more comfortable all year. It has been determined that millions of energy dollars are wasted every year in the United States because of old skylights. That is why there is a federal incentive program to encourage people to replace their worn out skylights with Energy Star certified ones. This is a picture of a group of VELUX skylights we installed recently in San Anselmo. The skylight that was replaced was very old, leaking, and very inefficient. The top center skylight is manually operable so that the owners can let excess heat out in the summer.
