Give your mother the gift of light…a VELUX skylight…and some chocolate too

You’ve been the light of your mother’s life for so long…now you can return the favor. Call us and arrange to have one or more VELUX skylights or SUN TUNNELS installed in your mother’s dark rooms and you will receive a special Mother’s Day discount on each skylight. You will also receive a gift certificate for one pound of See’s Candies that you can give to Mom (you will give it to her, won’t you?)

$50 discount off the cost of each VELUX SUN TUNNEL you have installed;
$75 discount off the cost of replacing each old worn out bubble skylight with a VELUX Energy Star certified skylight (you can make it operable for ventilation and add interior blinds for total control of the light);
$300 discount off of the cost of installing a brand new VELUX skylight in mom’s home (make it one of those electric ones with a cool remote control).

All you have to do is call us or go to www.naturalight.org and fill out the “I want a free estimate” form. Along with the skylights, mom will receive a See’s Candies gift certificate she can use to select her favorite.

P.S. Mom, you can call and arrange to get your own skylight installed and just tell your children to pay the bill.

Going Solar is getting easier!

Naturalight, Inc just became a member of Solar Sonoma County, an organization devoted to helping you find better ways to save your energy and money. Solar Sonoma County is a public-private consortium of local governments, businesses, individuals working collaboratively to identify and implement initiatives to promote, expand, and accelerate solar photovoltaic/solar thermal energy generation and energy efficiency throughout Sonoma County.

We are working together to promote County-wide energy efficiency. We do this by offering you information on products for your home and on tax credits and working to simplify the process of installing these products. Solar Sonoma County is working with your local governments to make getting a permit to install your solar products both easier and more affordable.

In June, Solar Sonoma County will be putting on a Solar Fair in Santa Rosa. You can come to see solar products and listen to free seminars all in one place. Learn how you can save money and the planet and keep Sonoma County the front runner of solar efficiency in the nation.

New VELUX SUN TUNNEL™ SE series qualifies for 30% federal tax credit

By installing VELUX SUN TUNNEL SE series in your primary residence, not only will you get more natural light into your home, you may receive a tax credit of 30% of the price of the product, up to $1500. Utilizing the same proven design of the standard VELUX SUN TUNNEL skylight, the Super Energy Efficient series meets the higher performance standards of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This tax credit program is available through December 31, 2010.

VELUX redesigned the roof dome of the 10” and 14” SUN TUNNELS to reduce the summertime solar heat gain and added an extra insulation space to increase the insulation factor. The end result is that the SE series is even more energy efficient than the standard SUN TUNNEL.

More information is available at www.energystar.gov/tax credit and http://www.veluxusa.com/Consumer/Products/tax_credits/st_tax_credit/default.aspx

Solar blind tax credit

Under the new tax credit laws, VELUX solar blinds qualify as "photovoltaic property: and are eligible for the 30% tax credit on product and installation costs. The solar blinds control the light and heat that enter your room using only the power of the sun. The blinds are operated by remote control and require no wiring and no electrician. VELUX solar blinds are available in blackout and light diffusing versions. Installation is easy with the new innovative Pick&Click! brackets that are pre-installed on most VELUX skylights.

The No Leak Skylight

The VELUX deck mounted skylight is now designated The No Leak Skylight. This next generation of VELUX skylights has been developed with three layers of protection that provide air and water barriers for a leak proof installation. For ten years from the date of installation, VELUX warrants that no water will leak through the skylight or between the skylight and the roof deck.

There are now three layers of protection to prevent leaks: (1) the pre-attached deck seal which provides a seal between the skylight frame and the roof deck; (2) adhesive underlayment for a secondary leak protection; (3) the VELUX engineered flashing for primary water protection.

All three models of VELUX deck mounted skylights, fixed, manual venting, and electric venting, are covered by the 10-year no leak product and installation warranty.
